2slices30% Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheeseyour choice of mozzarella or guda
2slicesHam
2slicesBreadyour choice of low-calorie or whole grain for added fiber
1tbspLighter than Light Mayo
1tbspButter
40gPickle(Branston Pickle)
Instructions
Lay out the two slices of bread. Spread lighter than light mayo on the outer side of each slice
On the inner side of each slice, spread a small amount of butter.
On one slice, layer the cheese, ham, and pickle, then top with the second slice of bread, mayo side out.
Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, place the sandwich in the pan, mayo side down.
Cook for 3-4 minutes, pressing down gently with a spatula, until golden brown.
Carefully flip the toastie with the spatula and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the outside is crispy and golden.
Remove from the pan, slice in half if desired, and enjoy this warm, cheesy, protein-packed toastie!
